Hello all!
I have started this blog for all of you to follow our new lives in Louisville, KY. I hope to update the blog weekly about what we are up to on a day to day basis. I know this sounds boring now, but AJ and I are a reality show waiting to happen. Before our marriage on 11.20.10, the longest amount of time we have ever spent together was 3 whole days. Now we have officially spent 10 days together, blowing our old record right out of the water! Things are going well so far.
We got home from our honeymoon to Jamaica yesterday. I will write a separate post and pictures soon! Our flight was late and we didn't land until 12:15 am this morning, baggage took forever to come out, then we forgot where we parked the car. Louisville's airport is so stupid that the long term parking is outside, so on top of it now being 1 am, it was raining cats and dogs! We were running around a parking lot, with our 2 gigantic suitcases and all of our carry-ons, which included a huge wooden elephant. I am sure we were quite a site!
Poor AJ had to be in the office by 7:30 and it was his birthday today too! While AJ was at the office early, I slept in until about 10:30 (I am sure he hates me right now). I then decided that AJ had not throughly enjoyed his birthday present I had already given him (the gigantic suitcase, to which he replied, I'll be sure to pay the electric bill next year for your birthday). I had convinced myself that I had to run out to find some Nike Kentucky sweatpants. I was beside myself where to find these. I know right where to go when I need OSU gear!
I looked up where the closest mall was located and I was off, in the pouring rain. Since I had looked it up on Google maps, I was convinced I did not need my Garmin, well I got lost, in the pouring rain!! As soon as I found the mall, I ran into Dillard's (I am so excited to have one!!) and I found the Kentucky sweatpants right away (SCORE!!).
After the trip to the mall, I was off to Meijer. This was a pretty pleasant experience. Everyone around here calls me ma'am. How nice. The deli lady individually tissued in between my cheese slices. I was super impressed, although angry because it took forever! I wanted to be like look lady, I can pull the slices apart myself. I found AJ's little Baby Bell cheeses he likes so much and then I was off the the bread aisle. They do not sell Home Pride Wheat Bread at the Meijer. I was beside myself. What bread do I choose now?? I decided on the Sara Lee, we will see how it goes (it was dry with my sandwich today).
When I got home, I made AJ some chocolate chip cookies. I was so pissed that the stupid oven has no timer!!! I am going to have to buy the timer from my Macy's registry. The oven is also too hot. It almost burnt the cookies.
AJ was so surprised when he got home!! He loved the cookies and the sweatpants, followed by a lovely Taco Bell dinner (we are going out for a nice dinner on Saturday).
AJ asked what I had been doing all day and I said cleaning and running errands. He said, really you cleaned, which supplies did you use? I guess I am going to have to start using the term "picking up."
I am off to Columbus tomorrow to pack up my things and bring the pugs down to Louisville.
Happy trails to all :)
